"Questionable Behavior"
Responding to the architecture and culture of spaces under video surveillance, I compose a series of improvised movement explorations, extend them through costume and document them with security cameras and my own video. Security personnel become a captive audience, and either advocates or opponents in my quest for access to the surveillance footage. In each performance of this serial work, I collage my footage with whatever surveillance footage I’ve managed to get (by hook or crook) and screen the resulting short video piece during a final performance.
